October 19, 1911; Sullivan County Review

"Clark's Pavillion at Lake Ophelia, near Liberty, burned to the ground early this morning. When help arrived it was too late, as the whole front of the building was ablaze.

"The building was owned by Mr. John Clark of New York who built it ten or twelve years ago. His son W H Clark has always been in charge. Mr. W H Clark says that the property had formerly been insured for $15,000, but there has been no insurance on it for the past two or three years.

"The building had a frontage of 100 feet and was 50 feet deep. All the contents were destroyed."
